Refund Policy

Whited & Co, LLC Effective Date: 01/07/2026 Cumberland County, Maine

1. Home Care Plans

1.1 Three-Day Right of Rescission All Home Care Plan purchases may be cancelled within 3 business days of enrollment for a full refund, in accordance with Maine's right of rescission principles. Refund requests must be submitted in writing via email or mail within that window.

1.2 Cancellations After Three Days After the 3-day rescission period, refunds are prorated based on the number of visits used at the time of cancellation. A $25 administrative fee will be deducted from all prorated refunds. Per-visit proration values are as follows:

Basic Home Care Plan ($800/year) — $400 per unused visit
Essential Home Care Plan ($1,400/year) — $350 per unused visit
Premium Home Care Plan ($2,000/year) — $333.33 per unused visit

1.3 Unused Visits Unused visits have no cash value at the end of a plan year and are not eligible for refund upon natural plan expiration. Refunds for unused visits are only issued in the event of Customer-initiated cancellation within the active plan year or Provider-initiated cancellation.

1.4 Provider-Initiated Cancellation If Whited & Co, LLC cancels a Home Care Plan for any reason other than Customer misconduct or material breach, the Customer will receive a full prorated refund for all unused visits with no administrative fee deducted. If cancellation is due to Customer harassment, unsafe property conditions, or material breach of the Terms and Conditions, no refund will be issued.

2. One-Time Project Work

2.1 Completed Work Whited & Co, LLC does not offer refunds for labor on work that has been completed as agreed. If a Customer is dissatisfied with the quality of completed work, Whited & Co, LLC will make reasonable efforts to remedy the issue at no additional labor charge, provided the concern is reported within 7 days of project completion.

2.2 Deposits For larger projects requiring a deposit, deposits are non-refundable once work has commenced. If a project is cancelled by the Customer before work begins, the deposit will be refunded in full provided cancellation is made with at least 48 hours notice. Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice prior to a project start date may forfeit the deposit at the Provider's discretion.

2.3 Cancellation Fee One-time project appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours notice may be subject to a cancellation fee equal to one hour of labor at the standard rate of $100. This fee compensates for reserved time that cannot be filled on short notice.

3. Materials

3.1 Purchased Materials Materials purchased specifically for a Customer's project or visit are non-refundable once acquired. If a project is cancelled before materials are purchased, no material charges will apply. If materials have already been sourced and the project is cancelled, the Customer will be responsible for the cost of those materials plus the 10% sourcing fee.

3.2 Unused Materials If materials purchased for a project are unused due to a change in scope, Whited & Co, LLC will make reasonable efforts to return those materials for a refund where the supplier allows. Any restocking fees charged by the supplier will be passed on to the Customer.

4. How to Request a Refund

All refund requests must be submitted in writing. Whited & Co, LLC will acknowledge receipt of all refund requests within 2 business days and will process eligible refunds within 7 business days of approval. Refunds will be returned via the original payment method where possible. Refunds on cash payments will be issued by check.

5. Maine Consumer Protection

This refund policy is subject to the Maine Unfair Trade Practices Act (5 M.R.S. §§ 205-A through 214) and all applicable Maine consumer protection regulations. Nothing in this policy limits or waives any rights the Customer may have under Maine law.

This refund policy is incorporated by reference into the Whited & Co, LLC Terms and Conditions. Whited & Co, LLC reserves the right to update this policy with 30 days written notice to active plan holders. The most current version will always be available on the Whited & Co, LLC website.
